Tonight's Blog Post Assignment
Choose one character that has appeared so far: June Woo, An-mei Hsu, Lindo Jong, Ying-ying St. Clair, Waverly Jong, or Lena St. Clair. Imagine that the novel is going to be told entirely from the perspective of this character. Write a paragraph describing the virtues of the character and another describing her weaknesses. Each paragraph should be 6-8 sentences long. Post these on your blog by tomorrow morning.

- Complete the Vocabulary Sheets for "The Red Candle" and "The Moon Lady"
- Read pp. 49-83 of The Joy Luck Club
- Read the essay handout titled "Other Works/Adaptations"
- Think about who is telling the story so far, and whether the voices seem in any way connected. Publish a response post of at least 250 words.
